How MLD handles information
Privacy policy

This policy explains how Meet Local Dogs (MLD), operated by Hannah Ventures LLC, collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information during the Keene pilot.
Information we collect
- Account information, including email, authentication records, preferred name, public label, locality, and age attestation.
- Dog profiles and photographs you provide, including characteristics, temperament, play preferences, health-related disclosures, and care information.
- Activity such as matches, messages, playdate proposals, Community responses, Doghouse listings and inquiries, ratings, reports, blocks, support requests, and pilot feedback.
- Location information you choose to provide. Precise coordinates used for radius discovery are kept private from other members.
- Technical information needed for sessions, devices, notifications, security, and errors.
How we use information
- Provide accounts, discovery, matching, messaging, playdate, Community, Doghouse, notification, safety, support, and moderation features.
- Show information you intentionally make visible, such as approved profiles, listings, approximate distance, and Community response totals.
- Review content and activity for safety, support, fraud prevention, and enforcement.
- Maintain and improve the pilot, diagnose errors, protect accounts, and comply with legal obligations.
When information is shared
MLD does not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising. Information is shared with other members only as needed for features you use and choices you make.
- Approved service providers may process data for hosting, authentication, database, storage, notification, and application infrastructure.
- Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or animals, investigate abuse or fraud, or defend legal rights.
- Doghouse hosts, dog owners, and Community participants are independent users.
Location and photographs
Location access is optional, and you may select a point manually. Do not publish private residential addresses in Community content. When you select a photograph, MLD receives the image you choose rather than requiring access to your entire photo library where supported.
Retention and deletion
Information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, address safety concerns, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. You can initiate permanent deletion in Settings → Delete account. Limited safety, fraud, transaction, or legal records may be retained when necessary.
Your choices
You may edit account and dog information, manage discovery settings, control permissions, withdraw Community responses, block members, request support, or delete your account. Removing the app does not itself delete your account.
Security and children
MLD uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. MLD is intended for adults who attest that they are at least 18.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the pilot changes. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and the effective date revised.
